  46. After loading the main program Cyberwar requires 300K of coventional memory to be available. If you have less than this, you will be told how much extra memory is required. Remove any TSRs or Drivers that are not required to gain extra conventional 
  47. memory.
  48. Cyberwar uses XMS memory for storing data. XMS memory is configured using the EMM386.EXE line in your CONFIG.SYS file. To ensure you have enough XMS memory available your EMM386.EXE line should look like this:

  54. This will allocate a 64k DMA buffer needed for correct audio playback and turn off EMS memory, allowing XMS memory to be allocated as required.

  57. If you are using QEMM and you experience difficulties selecting your sound card during the install program, rerun optimize.exe from the QEMM directory.

  63. Please do NOT use any Disk Cache utilities with Cyberwar! They will not affect game performance and can cause problems. SMARTDRIVE users, use the '/U' option to turn off CD-ROM caching.

  103. Media Vision Pro Audio Spectrum    - If you have unreliable playback during the game
  104. then ensure that SoundBlaster emulation is DISABLED
  105. or that the DMA Channel is NOT 1.

  108. Creative Labs SoundBlaster16/AWE32 - Ensure that you select the SoundBlaster16/AWE32
  109. drivers, and NOT the SoundBlaster (Pro) drivers
  110. if you have one of these cards.

  113. SoundBlaster Clones     - If you have a SoundBlaster clone and are experiencing digital audio 
  114. glitches, it is probably due to your clone card emulating a Sound
  115. Blaster imperfectly. For more reliable emulation change your sound
  116. card to use DMA Channel 1 and IRQ number 5,7 or 9, as this may help.

  119. Gateway 2000            - Depending on when you bought your machine you may have either an
  120. Aztech SB Clone card (the audio drivers directory is called G2KAUDIO)
  121. or an Ensoniq (drivers directory called GW2000). If you have an 
  122. Ensoniq please ensure that you use the Ensoniq drivers.

  125. Gravis Ultrasound/MAX   - Do not run SBOS or MEGAEM for Soundblaster emulation - the drivers will run the card in native mode.

  128. Reveal Sound FX/32      - Use the Ensoniq drivers.

  131. Ensoniq Soundscape      - Do not use the MT-32 emulation with Cyberwar. Use either FM or General Midi via the MPU-401 drivers. The SSINIT program supplied with the Ensoniq should be used to select the midi option required.
